Iain Donald - Test Manager
Iain has been working in the games industry since 2003. Iain didn’t always work in games after graduating from University of Aberdeen and spending some time researching and teaching he got his first experience of writing games as part of a MSc in 2000. Iain then moved to London and spent time in Paris & Brussels working on incredibly exciting telecommunications billing software. He moved back to Scotland in 2003 to work for Digital Bridges/I-play where he took various test and production roles. He moved to Realtime Worlds in 2006 to work on Crackdown. After finishing up on the award-winning Crackdown in 2007, Iain moved on to an unannounced project before moving to project manage the “Prototype” project at the University of Abertay where in collaboration with the BBC and commercial games companies students created new games and IPs that were put forward to the commissioning process at the BBC. His experience covers a variety of platforms and projects, including mobile, handheld, console and PC and he’s very happy to be a Ruffian.
